Abstract

Mention of the innate difficulty of rearing tsetse flies (Glossina spp.) on a large scale is followed by a brief account of the successful methods devised at Langford, the results achieved and the practical value of such colonies for research on trypanosomes and tsetse and possibly for vector control.
