Effect of Selection with Phospholan and Cypermethrin on Cross-Resistance Characteristics in the Egyptian Cotton Leaf worm

The development of resistance to repeated use of insecticides is not a new phenomenon and continue to be of great significance. The introduction of new compounds in large- scale insect control programs should therefore be preceded by an investigation on the rate of development of resistance to these compounds in the target species. Such Studies should offer valuable information in the search for new Compound to be used instead of those which have lost their potency on resistant pest population and in formulating a long term policy for insect control programs.
