Item Incidence of Bovine Paramphistomiasis in Kenya(1988) CHERUIYOT, H.K.; WAMAE, L.W.Paramphistomiasis is very common in Kenya, occurring almost in any herd of cattle, and in the literature, well over thirty species of the family Paramphistomatidae and Gastrothylacidae have been described. Little is known about their life cycle and epidemiology. In a recent field survey for incidence of bovine paramphistomiasis in Kenya, the stomach flukes were present in all the farms where Bulinus and Biomphalaria snails were found, but were less frequent if Lymneae natalensiswas the only snails occurring in the field. Further studies including a look of anthelmintics which are sensitive to paramphistomes is suggested.
