Item Rooting of purple passion fruit (Passiflora Edulis Forma Edulis Sims) stem, cuttings II. Influence of Indolebutyricacid (IBA)(1982) Thimba, D. N.; Itulya, F. M.Indolebutyric acid was appIied in 4 Levels of 0, 1000, 3000 and 8000 ppm to each of 5 cutting types of purple passion fruit, namely, terminal cutting (A), 'second cutting from the terminal (B), third cutting from the terminal (C), basal cutting (D),and decapitated terminal cutting( E) Except in the case of the terminal cutting, the optimum rooting percentages were recorded at 3000 ppm of IRA. The rooting percentages increased significantly with time from planting for all IBA treatments. Significant interactions were noted between IBA concentrations and the time from planting to IBA concentrations and the cutting types, adapted between the cutting type and the time from planting to the sampling period. The number of roots per cutting were also influenced by the IBA level, 3000 ppm being ,the optimum level. The root dry weight was significantly influenced by the IBA treatments, the optimum IBA level being 000 ppm, except in the case of the terminal cutting which seemed to respond to higher IeveIs of IRA.
