In keeping with the general policy of streamlining Government Departments and in order to strengthen and improve certain aspects of British aid to agricultural research and development overseas it has been decided that certain scientific units of the Overseas Development administration, which are primarily engaged in the entomological fields, should be merged into a single organisation. The units involved are the Anti-Locust Hese8lch Centre, the Tropical Pesticides Research Unit, the Tropical Pesticide, Research Head quarters and Information Unit and the Termite Research Unit.
