Observations on Some East African Birds

Contributions are made to the biology of about forty species. Among other items dealt with are parasitism in Cercococcyx ; undescribed nests and eggs, including those of Pseudoalcippe a. abyssinicus, Phyllastrephus f. placidus, Oalamonaste8 s. simplex, Uncginthus cyanocephalus, Oryptospiza salvadorii, and Emberiw, poliopleura; removal of its own eggs by a Night jar (Oaprimulgus); care of young Klaas's Cuckoos by birds of their own species; polygamy and monogamy in the Pwceus spp.; sub specific and local voice-variation; communal nestbuilding in Spermestes nigriceps; the number of grass-stems comprising a nest of Pseudonigrita cahanisi
