Item Phoma Herbarum Westend: A pathogen of Acacia Mearnsii De Wild in Kenya(1972) OIembo, T. W.; E.A.A.F.R.OThere is little evidence directly implicating species of Phoma either with dieback or with term canker diseases of economically important trees. Although isolations have been made of a Phoma-like fungus from tumours of Ulmus and Acer (Brown, 1941), of Phoma and Gloeosporium from cankers of Smilax (Dodge & Rickett, 1943), and of Phoma and Cylindrocarpon from Querclls (Moreau, 1950), the pathogenicity of these isolates was not confirmed.
