Abstract

The Netherlands supports to KARl under the National Agricultural Research Project II (NARP II) is coordinated by the Netherlands Liaison Office and consists of the following interventions: • General Core Fund (support to the general management of KARl); • Restricted Core Fund (support to the office of the Assistant Director Regional Research Centres); • Support to Gender issues in agricultural research; • Strengthening Regional Research Programme Kakamega; • Strengthening Regional Research Programme Katumani; • Strengthening Regional Resaerch Programme Mtwapa; • Support to the National Dairy Cattle Research Programme; • Support to the National Poultry Resaerch Programme; • Development of a Strategic Plan for Animal Production Research (not yet pperational) ; • Wildlife Disease Research Project; • Kenya Soil Surveys • National Seed Quality Control Services (not yet operational).
