Feeding Groundnut (Arachis Hypogaea L.) Haulms To Dairy Cows In Uganda

Abstract

The growing of ground nuts in Uganda is briefly outlined and it is concluded, from the large acreages already grown annually and the high nutritive values of haulms from two crops grown at Kabanyolo University Farm, that the potential does exist for feeding these haulms to dairy cattle rather than disposing of them by burning as is mostly the case at the moment.
