dc.description.abstract | The citrus root nematode, Ty!enchulus semipenetrans Cobb, 1913, has a worldwide distribution and is considered by DuCharme (1969) as "the most important nematode pathogen of citrus". The first report of T. semipenetrans in East Africa was made by Whitehead et aI. (1962) who identified il from citrus from Coast Province, Kenya. Hollis (1962) also reported T. semipenelram from Kenya on citrus from Coast Province south of Mombasa. Since the publication of those reports, no further attempts have Oee.1 made to delineate the distribution of this important pathogen. | en |
