Abstract
Four mature oesophageal fistulated Ankole steers were used to sample range pasture at monthly intervals from August 1966 to July 1967 at 08.00, 11,00, 14.00 and 17.00 hours. Data presented demonstrated that there was no significant difference in the crude protein content of the samples attributable to the steers or to the time of day of sampling. Differences in crude protein content of the samples collected in different months were highly significant.
