Preliminary results from maize breeding method study in Kenya

Abstract

Preliminary results show that rapid improvement has been made in one of the parental varieties, in the commercial variety-cross hybrid by four years’ of reciprocal recurrent selection. The current commercial hybrids, H611C and H613C, yield approximately 25 per cent more that the original version.
