Detailed Soil Survey of Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology, Juja (Kiambu District)

Abstract

This report describes the soil conditions of the proposed site for the Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology, Juja, Kiambu District. The detailed soil survey was carried out at the request of the Jomo Kenyatta Agricultural and Technical College Project Implementation Committee through Ministry of Agriculture. The survey area comprises approximately 205.8 hectares. The fieldwork was carried out / the period between 31st May and 14th June 1978, /in a topographical map of the proposed site did not exist at the time of the survey. Therefore a Survey of Kenya cadastral plan on scale 1:10,000 was used as the base map.
