Abstract
The majority of articles on erosion deal with the losses of soil caused by uncontrolled water funning off cultivated lands. Whilst these soil losses are of the utmost importance little attention appears to have been paid to water losses, is such; more particularly with regard to the relation between rainfall and crop yields.
