This article reviews on prevalence and economic losses associated with fasciolosis in cattle, sheep and goats. It relates some of the findings in the literature on the economic impact of F hepatica and applies this to situations as they occur in Kenya where F gigantlca is the main infecting species to livestock. Based on the livestock numbers, the pathology and related losses associated with faciolosis, it is estimated that a total of US$ 68,207,646 is lost annually as a result of Fasiola infection in livestock in Kenya.en
