Opportunities for Research at Kariba

Abstract

THE opportunities for research at Lake Kariba have already been referred to in this Journal. Tobias has described his Anthropological work with the Tonga, a group of African people some of whom lived along the shores of the Zambesi river, and Freed• man2 has outlined some of the zoological possibilities. It is the purpose of the present paper to say something of the work that has been or is being done in the area, and to point to a few of the many fertile fields open for further work in the future.
