KARI/ODA Crop Protection Project Kenya - Technical Report 1/07/93-30/06/94, Plant Nematology

Abstract

One visit was made to the project during this period from 17 January - 6 February, 1994. Continued advice and assistance was given to the Plant Nematologist at NARL in the nematology research programme, identification of nematodes, field trials, information and techniques. Mrs. Lucy Njuguna remains the only senior nematologist in the Nematology Section. Although support staff are now in place, a vacancy remains for another senior nematologist which needs to be filled if the necessary nematology work is to be done. Advice and support was given to the development of an entomopathogenic nematode research programme at KARI National Fibre Research Centre.
