Abstract
This list is based on a survey of forest insects started in 1950 when the writer commenced work; the survey will of course be continuous and will become more quantitative in the course of time. J. O. Evans and S. J. Curry, Forest Department, Kenya (from 1953) did much collecting and the Forest Departments of Uganda and Tanganyika each deputed two African collectors to assist.
