Abstract

Since 1962, the Department of Veterinary Services and Animal Industry in Uganda has carried out series of surveys intended to establish the levels of minerals present in pasture herbage, soils from the pastures and bovine plasma of dairy and beef cattle grazing such pastures. This paper reports the results of soil analysis and describes Acholi and Lango districts of Uganda in which the survey was carried out.
