Abstract

Studies on the effects of relative humidity on the development of eggs and nymphs of A. tomentosicollis showed that relative humidifies in the range of 30 to 100 percent R.H. harl no significant effect on the rate of development of both the eggs and the nymphs. The percentage egg hatch which ranged from 90 to 100 percent was not affected by the relative humidity but, nymphs mortality was high at relative humidifies below 40 percent and above 90 percent R.H. Jhese results are discussed in relation to the environmental conditions which obtain in the ecological zone of the species.
