Abstract

During the period 1969-1971, a total of 384 fertilizer experiments were successfully completed in Western, Nyanza, Eastern, Central and Coast Provinces. The purpose was to define the requirement of cotton for fertilizers containing the primary nutrients nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. In Eastern and Western provinces, sulphur was used instead of potassium during the last two years of the experimental preriod.
