Abstract

It is clearly impossible in the short span of fifteen minutes to cover more than a very small part of the large subject of the protozoology of trypanosome infections and I have therefore so chosen my title as to impose three important limitations: the first that my remarks are restricted to the pathogenic trypanosomes of Africa: the second that I am concerned only with those related to human sleeping sickness, and the third that I make no claim to consider more than a few of the problems which seem to me, personally, to be of importance.
