The study of vascular tissue differentiation of the root subjected to various treatments is 'known fr.om early descriptions by Pfeffer (1893), Kojina (1931) and Cholodny (1931).Other authors like Heimsch (1951), Hughes and Street (1960) agreed with earlier workers that accelerated cellular differentiation is commonly observed in inhibited root growth. In roots with [aster growth rates, the vascular tissues were differentiated farther away from the root tips.en
