Abstract

Kerda is a Gujarati word used in East Africa used in pickles and chutneys. (C. spinosa, C. for the unripe fruit of Capparis ellZagnoides Zeylanica, C. aphylla. C. horrida), or the ripeGilg. There is a small but profitable export of fruits may be eaten fresh (C. spinosa and kerda from several places in the Lake and C. aphylla). The flower-buds of C. aphylla and Western Provinces of Tanganyika, especially C. spinosa are used as capers, and the leaves from the station of Seke in Shinyanga District
