Abstract

This annual report gives a general overview of the research work and other services accomplished by the section in the year 2006. It is divided into two parts. Part I gives a general overview which covers a summary of the technical work, staff matters, donors financial assistance, collaboration with other programs and institutions, conferences, meetings and workshops attended and publications produced during the year. Part II covers technical and research work executed. This report was prepared through joint effort of the technical staff from all the units and I sincerely convey to them my deepest gratitude.
