dc.description.abstractKenya is the seventh-largest global producer of common beans. The crop is cultivated almost exclusively by approximately 1.5 million smallholder farmers across around a million hectares. Beans are grown throughout Kenya, with Eastern, Nyanza, Central, Western, and Rift Valley regions being the primary areas of cultivation.
