The Control of the Tsetse Fly

Abstract

Following agreement between the Government of the Somali Republic and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Mr. J.P. Eernacca as assigned to work in the Somali Republic. His terms of reference were to carry out a survey of the tsetse fly Distribution in the two rivers, Juba and Scebeli, and to ma.ke recommendations regarding the control of tsetse fly in this region". He was in the Somali Republic from 19 June to 22 August 1965 and was based in Mogadishu from where he made visits to the tsetse infested areas.
