Continued advice and assistance was given to the Plant Nematologist at NARL in the nematology research programme, identification of nematodes, field trials, information and techniques. Mrs. Lucy Njuguna remains the only senior nematologist in the Nematology Section. Although support staff are now in place, a vacancy remains for another senior nematologist which needs to be filled if the necessary nematology work is to be done.
