The agitation was, renewed soon after my arrival in Kenya at the instance d Mr. E. Montgomery who had then been appointed Veterinary Adviser to the Uganda Protectorate, and who urged that Veterinary services should be separated from the Department• of Agriculture and cease be under the control of the Director of Agriculture. The matter was referred to a representative meeting of dock owners who with one dissentient passage a resolution expressing the opinion tha.t the Veterinary Department, should be under the control of the Director of Agriculture.
