Variety Trial (EAMVT) was distributed to over 100 sites in eastern Africa, the Middle East, the Cameroon, Nigeria, and Mexico. Twenty-seven sites returned data acceptable for inclusion in this summary. These sites 'were located in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, ,Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
