The surveyed area comprises about 8,285 hectares. The various landforms and associated soils are indicated on the accompanying Boil map at scale 1:50,000. In chapter 3 the various mapping units are described. Then in chapter 4 the land is evaluated for irrigated agriculture surface irriga- tion and overhead irrigation. The evaluation is based on the assumption that good-quality irrigation water is available. The suitability classes of the various mapping units are indicated in Table 3.
