KARl - Perkerra is one of the regional research centres of KARl. The Centre is located in Marigat township of Bar in go district just 100 Ian North ofNakuru town. The Centre has a regional mandate covering 5 districts; Baringo, Keiyo, Koibatek, Marakwet and Samburu districts. The centre's research mandate is to carry out adaptive and applied research so as to develop and disseminate appropriate agricultural technologies to farmers in the mandate area. Research operations in the Centre are tailored to conform to the framework of KARl vision and mission. Thus the Centre is keen to develop self sustaining farming systems that assure food and improved livelihoods for crop and livestock farmers in the region.
