Challenges of Beekeeping in Drought-Prone Areas
(Animal Production Society of Kenya, 2002) Kagio, S.M.; Njoka, E.N.; Egerton University
The challenge facing the livestock industry in drought prone areas is the production of livestock products to an ever-increasing population and periodic harsh environment. This paper shows how beekeeping can be used to produce bee products and through their pollinating services, they can increase food and fodder for man and livestock. By doing so, bees can help in the reduction of poverty in drought-prone areas.

(1937) Harris, W.V.; Department of Agriculture Tanganyika Territory.
