Fertilizer use Recommendation Final Report in Siaya District 1987

Abstract

Units U1Dl and U1D2 consist of (ferralo-)chromic and orthic Acrisols and orthic Ferralsols of varying soil depth. Soils of unit U1Dl are mainly deep, those of unit U1D2 (trial site 4.1) are mainly shallow to moderately deep over petroplinthite (murram). The soils of unit UmDl, east of Rangala, are very deep dystric Nitisols extending into Kakamega District (cf. proposed trial site 7.4. Kakamega District).
