Yield Increase from Sorghum Hybrids

Abstract

In variety trials at thirty sites or seasons in East Africa, the grain yield of the hybrid H × 58 when plotted against the yield of ‘Serena’, its pollinator parent, showed a linear regression with a coefficient value which did not differ from b=1.0 (ref. 1).
