Abstract

This report describes immunological studies done in Southern Rhodesia in relation to the trypanosomiasis problem. A series of exploratory investigations were carried out for the purpose of identifying strains of trypanosome species existing in a selected area, measuring immune response to these strains and determining whether an increased immunity could be produced in cattle to protect them from local trypanosome strains.
