Abstract
A regular evenly distributed supply of soil water is required, with high temperature and humidity in the absence of wind. Where there is a danger of high winds dwarf types should be grown. The ideal soil is a deep loam permitting free root development. Rainfall 45-100 in. Altitude 0-6,000 ft.
