This compendium has boon prepared by Section Heads and Officers in charge of research units of the Department of Agriculture. It is intended to be a guide to the research work which is in progress at present and the places where this work is being conducted. Each officer 1.'1ho has contributed has outlined the part which his unit plays in the Implementation of the overall research plan and some of the achievements of his unit since it began.
