Abstract

KARl is government parastatal charged with national responsibility of undertaking agricultural and livestock research on constraints that curtail production. The institute envisions a vibrant commercially oriented agricultural sector, propelled by innovative technologies, knowledge, and approaches that respond to demands and opportunities. The institute services its parent ministry (MOA) through provision of improved management techniques, better delivery systems of technologies, extension packages, and information and knowledge systems for improved agricultural development. This is done through research activities conducted at the institute's various Centres spread across the country, Kiboko being one of them.
