The Uasin Gishu District stocks have been developed into a state where they can be used for cross-irrrrunity experiments which are being • • • • • • • • • • designed at present. It was decided to use the MJiben isolate as the prime stock based on its rronoclonal antibody profile. A detailed socicreconanic survey of collaboration with ILRAD, Uasin Gishu District has been initiated in Departmants of Veterinary Services and Agriculture prior to a rrore detai led epidemiological survey.
