Abstract

There is need to grow the most suited sunflower cultivars in the different agroecozones.in order to realise maximum seed and oil yields. In Kenya, so far no particular sunflower cultivar can be aligned precisely for such zones, Work is therefore being done to rectify this situation. The National ' Plant Brooding Station, Njoro (N.P.E,S.) is therefore coordinating the N.S.P.T. tries with Wang'uru Sunflower Research Centre boing one of the • collaborators who arc si tuated all over the Country .• All triel. details are in a separate document and as such onl7 the entries ~ field plans Will be cited in this programme.
