Abstract
Records are available from the Ma1indi-Gedi Cotton Research Station
(no.93.40/007). The air temperature is over the period 1963-1968
(EAMD, 1970), the rainfall is for th~ years 1958-1972 (EAMD1 1974),
while data on potential evaporation is taken fram Woodhead (1968) over the period 1963-1965. Pan-A type evaporation records as given in
EAMD (1975) are 100 mm lower for the annual mean figures quoted by
Woodhead
