Abstract

The African trypanosomiases constitute a group of closely related diseases that affect man and livestock whose causative organism is the haemoprotozoan parasite, the trypanosome. The disease is known as 'nagana' in cattle, 'surra' in camels and 'sleeping sickness' in humans.
