Abstract

In 1972 a first study was published by G.A.T. members which deals with the possibilities of horticulture development in Trans Nzoia. In this publication gross-margins on avocado- and citrus production based on estimated figures are given. Those calculations have later been redescribed in the Farm Management Information Handbook for Trans Nzoia, in which the original figures, however, have been adapted to the development of costs and prices in Kenya.
