Abstract
At the request of Mr. R. Storer, Project Manager of the FAO/FFHC Project for development of minor irrigation schemes, Nakuru, a site evaluation was carried out (4 - 7th December 1972) of the soils and water conditions of the proposed Merti irrigation scheme. The data gathered should help the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO to assess preliminary the feasibility of the scheme, whereupon external funds for its execution may be obtained.
