Abstract
New instrumental methods of analysis have the advantage of speed and simplicity but may sacrifice accuracy. One such method,
Spectro chemical analysis, has been used with considerable and widespread success. Recently, interest has been focused on the vacuum X-ray spectrograph as a tool for elemental analysis. This has the great advantage of being non-destructive and of being able to handle a large number of samples with a minimum of preparation.
