Abstract

Reports from the Ministry of Planning and National Development demonstrate that poverty affects nearly 47 percent of Kenya population, and that the situation is grave among rural communities. These rural communities need to form linkages with the private sector and the government to take charge of natural resources that are available or could be developed using emerging technologies to improve their lot.
