Some Factors in the Manuring of Coffee

During the past five or six years there has been a considerable increase in the use of both organic and artificial manures for coffee. In some cases, ' either there has been no evident response, or it has appeared that the application has been detrimenta1. A closer examination of the soil conditions in most of the cases has revealed the reason for the unsatisfactory results.
